Terms of Use.

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the RunFaster app and related services (the "Service") provided by the operator of RunFaster ("we"). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

1. Account

You must sign in with Apple or Google to use the Service. Your account is for you only and may not be transferred or shared. If you are under 13, use the Service only with your parent's or guardian's consent.

2. How records are counted

Run days, XP and weekly counts include only runs that start after you register your account. Run days never decrease when you rest. Records are confirmed on our server; when you are offline, they are saved on your device and sent later.

3. Display name and league

In the league and friend features, other users can see your display name, avatar and weekly totals. We never show or send your GPS route or precise location. Do not use a display name that is abusive, contains personal information, or infringes others' rights. Inappropriate names or behavior may be reported or blocked, and we may change the name or suspend the account.

4. Prohibited conduct

Do not falsify records, gain XP or rankings by unfair means, interfere with the Service or other users, break the law, or reverse engineer, copy or redistribute the Service.

5. Health and safety

The Service helps you record exercise and build a habit. It is not medical advice. Pay attention to your health and your surroundings, and run within your limits. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for accidents, injuries or damage that occur while running.

6. Changes, suspension and termination

We may add, change, suspend or end features. During the pre-release test period, or with a major update, we may reset records and accounts; we will tell you before we do.

7. Deleting your account

You can delete your account in the app under You → Account & league. Deleting removes your account and shared data from our server and cannot be undone.

8. Intellectual property

The software, design, characters and text of the Service belong to us or their rightful owners.

9. Disclaimer

The Service is provided "as is". We do not guarantee that it will always be available, that records will never be lost, or that it fits a particular purpose. Except in cases of our intentional misconduct or gross negligence, our liability is limited to the extent permitted by law.

10. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. We will announce important changes in the app or on this page. Continuing to use the Service after a change means you accept it.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Japan. The Tokyo District Court has exclusive jurisdiction in the first instance over disputes about the Service.

If you downloaded the app from the App Store, Apple's Standard License Agreement (EULA) also applies. Where it conflicts with these Terms, Apple's terms prevail to that extent.
