RUNFASTER / PRIVACY

Privacy Policy.

Last updated: October 1, 2026

This page explains how RunFaster (the app and runfaster.takutakutaku.com, the "Service") handles your information.

1. What we do not collect

RunFaster does not operate its own advertising, tracking or analytics, or sell location data. See section 6 for data handling by the Google Sign-In SDK, including its declared analytics purposes. We never send your GPS route (the sequence of locations) or precise location to our server. Sign-in authentication information may include an email address, but we do not store it in the RunFaster account database. We do not send heart rate or other Apple Health data to our server.

2. What we store on our server

3. What stays on your device

Location (GPS distance and route), motion (steps and activity type) and reading workouts from Apple Health are processed on your device. With your permission, runs you record in RunFaster are saved to Apple Health (you can turn this off in Settings).

4. Why we use it

We use the information stored by RunFaster to record and confirm run days, XP and weekly goals, to run the league and friend features, to prevent cheating, and to answer your questions. Section 6 describes the purposes declared by the Google Sign-In SDK.

5. What other people can see

In the league and among friends: your display name, avatar and weekly totals. If you choose to share a run with friends, they can see its summary (date, distance, time, pace). If you set an @username, anyone who types it exactly can open your profile. You do not appear in listings or partial-match searches, and we never match against your contacts or phone book. People who follow you can see whether you ran today, your runs and goal for this week, your total run days, and your distance this week. No one can see where you ran, your route or a map. If you make your account private, people need your approval to follow you.

6. Service providers

Our server runs on Cloudflare (United States). Sign-in uses Apple and Google. We use RevenueCat, Inc. (United States) to manage purchases; we share only your account identifier and purchase status with them, never your name, email address or location. Apple handles the payment itself, and card details never reach RunFaster. We do not provide or sell personal information to anyone else, except as required by law.

Google Sign-In SDK

Sign-in with Google uses the Google Sign-In for iOS SDK (9.2.0). Google's official privacy manifest declares the following data types as collected and linked to the user:

The SDK declares that these data types are not used for tracking. Google explains that it uses a user identifier to record consent-based authorization and may estimate a device's general location from its IP address for fraud prevention.

This description is based on the SDK provider's declarations. It does not mean that we have individually verified actual transmission and storage of every listed data type under RunFaster's current configuration. For Google's handling of information, see Google's SDK data collection explanation, the official SDK privacy manifest and the Google Privacy Policy. Retention and deletion of information handled by Google follow Google's policies, separately from section 7, which describes data on the RunFaster server.

7. Retention and deletion

We keep data on the RunFaster server until you delete your account. You can delete it in the app under You → Account & league; this deletes your account and related data from our server. If you can't delete it in the app, contact us.Deleting your account also deletes your @username, your follow relationships, your high-fives and your friend quests.

We keep the record of a one-time (Founder) purchase even after you delete your account. A one-time purchase never expires, so we need this record to restore your access if you come back. It holds only your account identifier and the App Store transaction number - no name, no email address, no location. We do not set a retention period for it, because the entitlement does not expire. We keep backups of this record so that we can recover it after an outage.

If you would like this record deleted, email us at the address below. We will delete it after confirming that the request comes from you (we will ask for the transaction number shown in your App Store purchase history). The record may remain in our disaster-recovery backups for a period of time, but we do not restore it when we recover from an outage. After we delete it we can no longer verify your purchase. The purchase itself stays with Apple, so restoring purchases with the same Apple ID brings Founder back.

8. Age

If you are under 13, use the Service only with your parent's or guardian's consent.

9. Changes

We will announce changes on this page and in the app.
